Lisa's Story

     Chicago native author, Dr. Lisa Richardson Hassler, has been in the field of education for two decades with degrees in Elementary Education, Online Teaching and Learning, and Educational Leadership. She is state certified in Elementary Education, Educational Leadership, and English Speakers of Other Languages.

     She is an expert on distance education. Richardson Hassler has studied, researched, and implemented online teaching theories and methods since 2016. Her strategies have proven positive results in her own classroom.

     Her experience includes teaching first through fourth grades in public, private, and Montessori schools.

     Dr. Hassler is the recipient of the National Louis University 2022 Outstanding Dissertation Award in the category of Advancing Professional Practice. Reviewers commented on the many strengths of her dissertation, particularly her data analysis and the usability and strength of her recommendations. In 2019, she was nominated for the Golden Halo Award by her students and parents for being an inspiring Christian teacher. 

      Her previous works are Family Second Language Acquisition and An Evaluation of Virtual School’s Preparation of Second Grade Student’s for Third Grade Reading Proficiency. 

      Lisa lives in Florida with his husband where they are beekeepers and sea turtle patrollers. America’s Embarrassing Reading Crisis: What We Learned From COVID, is her first book.
